Why are Autel using cheap looking plastics??? Awful

I often fly from moving boats. The lack of a simple way to update homepoint is driving me mad, and I've had so many near losses because of it. It doesn't take more than somebody disturbing me for a short while and the drone is halfway to a spot where it intends to land on water.

Sadly, there will always be a plentiful supply of total fools in this world. Self-regulation doesn't work, never has.

DJI being banned is just because the US bans, sanctions and applies tariffs to everything that it cannot compete with

Just for the mini 4 pro and rc2 turns on with green lights but when I went to add wifi on the controller the screen went black and now the rc2 turns on but the screen is all black can anyone help please?

The laws don’t stop anyone they just cause headaches for the rest of us and nothing else. People who do dangerous stunts will keep doing it.

I appreciate you making this video. I’ve watched a few and this is the only one that really answered all my questions in a way that was easily understandable. I currently have the Mini 3 Pro and was looking to upgrade. I’ve had my mind set on the Mavic for a while, but this has me thinking otherwise. I’m just a hobby flyer so a majority of the camera lingo went right over my head, but the range, and ability to handle wind better is a huge selling point. Thanks again for all the work you put into this. You’re my first stop for any info moving forward! 😊

Im glad yo see your detailed opinion, and i agree with you, except i dont need to unscrew the propels everytime I keep the drone, its not necessary at all in my opinion.

I'm a drone pilot sinds the Spark. Much longer than that I'm an RC-plane pilot. With the Spark I could customise the control sticks in the way that pulling the stick is going up and pushing is down, same as with common (RC-) planes. The Mini 4 Pro offers several customisation settings for the control sticks, however, no option for pulling is up and pushing is down. As a drone- and RC-plane pilot it is very tricky to fly these types of aircraft with reversed up-down stick setting. Here too, DJI should offer an upgrade to the Spark feature.

But what about Interference? From the footage it looks like you did the Mini 3 test over habited land, whereas this test is in the open desert without any other signal sources. My only drone is a Mavic Air back from 2017, and it uses a way worse trasmission frequency and standard. As a result I experienced vast differences flying over towns vs. nature: There were times where I could not reach 400 m, and in open desert i flew ~2500 m. I wonder if that is still a concern for a test like this.

I agree that you should buy the fly more kit to get the three batteries - but also buy one more battery so there is always one in the drone. 👍🏻 Also buy the Philips 000 screw driver you’ll never regret that purchase.

With my M3P the included screwdriver was worthless. If I’d kept trying to remove the screw from the prop the screw would’ve been stripped. I bought an inexpensive micro drive set that had the proper screw head.

New Mini 2 drone owner here (from the US) with a possible newbie question. Ive only flown my mini 2 a few times, but one thing I noticed is that when I get in up about 30 ft. or higher the drone will hold its horizontal position pretty well, but vertically it will climb about 5 feet and lower 5 feet. So if I got it up to 100 ft., it would go up and down between 95ft.-105ft without me touching the controls. Also, there was some wind those days but about 10-15 mph gusts at most. And I had the drone in Cinematic mode each time. Does that seem normal? Thanks and great video!

Okay, you’re helping make the upcoming weekend even longer! LOL My Avata 2 is due on Monday or Tuesday, so though you usually want weekends to last longer, this time is different! My main issue is having to have an observer even in areas where there aren’t people, and I’m flying low to not worry about other aircraft. Think my first times to learn the controls will be indoors. It’s complete waste of money to buy drones coz you can’t fly any where anymore , many countries totally banned drone to bring their countries many countries make so hard to get approval for permits to fly drone and many places don’t let you fly more then 200 feet….. it’s stupid to think to buy drone for not to allow fly anywhere.

Be ok if, while your in tracking mode that you could press c1 or c2 to be able to update home point rather than pulling down and scrolling to find update home point.

Great video! I've seen enough to know that I'll be passing on this model. Like the Mavic, this seems like more problems than it's worth.

Something I may have missed in my UA-cam research, or maybe is just too obvious for most, is that after filming a 4K video with a Mini 4, I discovered that several platforms cannot display 4K, including my wife's Android tablet, my sister-in-law's older Android phone, and my own Windows 10 laptop without first downloading a video app like VLC that has the proper CODECs. Since I can live without the higher resolution, my solution to sharing videos with family and friends will be to reset the Mini 4 to film in 1080. Who knew?!

New to drones. Mini 4 pro my 1st ever, thanks to this channel's candor. I'd like instruction without reading the manual - call me lazy:) I was trying to land in a tight spot but OA wouldn't let me. EZ way to override when want to manually land?

You just need A1/A3 licence which is necessary for drons between 250-900gr (licence A1). But with that licence mini 4 (c0 category)and Air 3 (c1 category) has the same restictions. Plus licence is very easy to make it. You don't need A2 licence if dron is less then 900gr.

hey i am havng an issue of signal inteference with dji mini 4 pro , i have done every thing to fix this issue , changed location but didnt worked any case can you guide ?

So what if it takes 49 seconds for the RC-2 to boot up. The drone needs much longer anyway to get the GPS fix of the home point. It makes no sense for the RC-2 to be faster on boot up, if you have to wait for that to happen, before you can take off. Short on time for the sunset shot. Easy solution, be there 5 minute earlier. 🤦‍♂

The RC2 is very very underpowered so i wouldn't hold my breath for it to get quicker, it will most likely get slower and slower. Why? The RC2 Pro is most likely around the corner which has better screen brightness, better overall screen, much faster processor etc. The fact that the RC and RC2 is essentially built around a old android phone is really showing in bright sunlight and when DJI Fly gets more features. If you back out of the DJI Fly app you'll see it's just basically a android phone running the DJI Fly app.

Isn't the home point issue the same on all DJI consumer drones? I don't think it is so much a Mini 4 issue, as it is a DJI drone issue. But I strongly agree with you about the props, DJI please get rid of the screw on props, and save the extra weight of the twist on props somewhere else. Great video Darren, and thanks for sharing.
